Critically acclaimed Scottish pop duo ‘The Eves’ do things their way. Marissa Keltie and Caroline Gilmour are truly carving out their own unique space with their distinctive songwriting style that encompasses organic storytelling, smooth vocal harmonies, and thoughtful production. Their music feels both fresh and timeless, showcasing their signature blend of melodic pop.
Since their debut single Tides in 2018, the pair have demonstrated a clear dedication to authenticity and craftsmanship rather than chasing trends. Their journey, bolstered by strong support from BBC Radio stations, music tastemaker Jim Gellatly, and national media outlets, underscores their ability to connect with diverse audiences across multiple platforms.
Their breakthrough came with Brand New Day in 2021, an uplifting anthemic track that highlighted their versatility and melodic appeal. With five weeks on the BBC Radio 2 playlist, glowing support from BBC Radio Scotland and Spotify editorial playlists, and a climb into the UK Official Download Chart, Brand New Day cemented their status as one of the UK’s most exciting emerging pop acts. Its high-profile feature in The Kardashians further broadened their audience, solidifying their presence both at home and internationally.
Several Television appearances on BBC and STV networks have followed, with a performance on Scottish Television’s ‘Bringing in the Bells’ Hogmanay programme scheduled to launch them into 2025 with a bang.
On stage, they’ve shared the spotlight with iconic acts like Belinda Carlisle, Sister Sledge, and The Shires, as well as extensively touring the UK with award-winning Scottish band Skerryvore. Their opening performance at the sold-out Celtic Connections show at The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall remains a highlight of their live career, proving their ability to connect with audiences in both intimate and large-scale settings.
“it’s epic yet intimate: an intoxicating and really rewarding listen displaying some fantastic songwriting” - Phil Taylor, Music Observer (Both Sides EP)
“I love this band” - OJ Borg, BBC Radio 2
“Glistening pop music with delightful harmonies” – Jim Gellatly, Amazing Radio
