With an oblique take on the 'valentine' theme, our exhibition will explore the alternative aspects of love, showcasing the many unique perspectives of the concept.
We are looking for local artists that have works available showcasing their own interpretation of love. Whether it be abstract or literal, we would love to see how you reimagine love. This type of love can be either romantic, platonic, self, or familial.
This is a chance to share your creativity, showcase your work, and be part of a collective interpretation of one of the most universal themes in art.
Submissions must be made using the form below. No video or installations will be accepted. Non digitally produced art works will be preferred, and can include textile, ceramic, glass and wood, as well as painting, drawing, collage and printing. The nature of our gallery space limits the number of items we can accept that are non-wall hanging. We will accept a maximum of four works from any one artist.
The deadline for submissions is 5pm Friday 24th January 2025.
Submitted works must be up to and under 40cm in any direction, including frame, with a maximum price of £150 for any one item. Work must be for sale and ready to hang, and delivered to the gallery by 5pm on Thursday 30th January. We have a small number of magnetic hangers for un-framed work. Use of these is subject to availability and should not be assumed.
Selected artists will pay an acceptance fee of the lower of £30 or 10% of the total value of works selected for display. Sales will attract a discounted fee of 25% - sharing the love!
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
