Join us on the croft for a yoga, meditation and journaling session to celebrate Imbolc and the return of Spring.
Imbolc is traditionally marked to celebrate the first signs of Spring after the cold and dark Winter. Sitting almost halfway between the Winter solstice and Spring equinox, Imbolc is a time to celebrate the returning light, renewal of nature and other signs that Spring is on its way.
This is a time to pause, reflect and set intentions for the coming seasons. As such, this session will begin with a short journaling exercise to reflect on the previous Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. We will identify things we are grateful for and feelings we would like to leave behind, as well as our intentions for the year to come.
Catherine will then guide you through an all-levels hatha yoga practice incorporating meditation, breathwork and asanas (physical poses) themed around letting go of what no longer serves us and embracing the warm and inspiring energy of Spring.
We hope you will leave the session feeling relaxed and rejuvenated with a renewed appreciation for the changing seasons and beauty of the natural world.
Please wear clothing you feel comfortable in and bring your own mat. You are welcome to bring your own notebook for the journaling activity or use paper provided.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
