Designed for anyone who wants to make their tools last longer and work more efficiently, this hands-on session will teach you the essential skills for maintaining, repairing, and sharpening common garden and hand tools.
Whether you’re an avid gardener, a DIY enthusiast, or simply looking to save money by extending the life of your tools, this workshop is for you! You’ll learn about safe practices, sharpening techniques and how to clean, oil and care for your tools, as well as gaining hands-on experience with simple but effective repairs.
We’ll provide a variety of tools from the croft’s collection that are in need of care and attention, so you’ll have plenty of practice. You are also welcome to bring one or two of your own (small) tools for a supervised repair or tune-up. You’ll leave the workshop with both the knowledge and the confidence to begin to tackle tool maintenance projects at home.
Good tool maintenance brings with it a number of benefits, such as saving money, making gardening and DIY smoother and easier, and reducing waste. So, join us for a relaxed, interactive workshop and give your tools a new lease of life. Gain the confidence to keep your tools in top shape, season after season!
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
