During the First World War a German U-Boat Captain secretly lands ashore in Orkney close to the British Fleet’s base at Scapa Flow to rendezvous with a spy with information that could help him destroy the Grand Fleet. But is all as it seems?
The film is the first Powell/Pressburger collaboration and based on a novel by Orkney author J. Storer Clouston.
