Join us for this two day course which will discuss and share strategies for managing feelings of loss and change that can come when living with MS.
The course will take place over two sessions on Friday 21 March and Friday 28 March from 10am until 12pm. To get the most from this course, we encourage you to attend both sessions.
This course will allow you to engage with other people affected by MS, and together we will explore how we might navigate these feelings and emotions while living with MS.
We will look at what loss and change is and we will develop tools, share experiences and practical tips on helping us to navigate these challenging feelings.
This is an interactive course, designed to complement the discussions you have while participating.
There will be a handbook to accompany the course.
Over each of the weeks the course will look at the following themes:
• What is Loss and Change and how can it affect us?
• Understanding how our brains and bodies might react to loss and change
• Making a plan and knowing where to get help
• Starting to build our tool kit to help manage these feelings
The content of this course will look at topics that might be challenging or upsetting for some of us. It is important that you think about the content of the course above and assess whether this course is right for you.
We expect this to be a popular course and we have very limited capacity because we want to keep the numbers to a size that will facilitate maximum benefit to the participants.
Please, therefore, only book if you are confident that you can attend, and if you discover later that you are unable to attend please cancel your place straightaway to give someone else an opportunity to attend.
Please note:
• The sessions are not tailored to any specific needs
• The sessions are designed for guidance, motivation, and educational purposes only
• No information should be taken as medical or professional health advice
What should I do if I can no longer attend?
If you find that you are unable to take part please get in touch at scotlandcdo@mssociety.org.uk so we can offer up your place to someone else.
