The Leddie, Aberlady’s boutique hotel and restaurant, will host its first-ever wellness retreat, Spring Equinox Awakening, from Saturday, 15th March to Sunday, 16th March. In partnership with WanderWomen, this overnight retreat has been expertly designed to leave guests feeling relaxed, rejuvenated, and refreshed.
Saturday 15th March
ARRIVAL
Settle into the cosy, welcoming ambiance of The Leddie at 2pm. The retreat begins with a warm introduction, setting an intention to embrace the renewal and balance the Spring Equinox represents. Includes a warming herbal tea for introduction.
MINDFUL WALK AT ABERLADY BAY
Experience a meditative walk through Aberlady Bird Reserve, where the quiet beauty of early spring offers a chance for deep reflection. Led by WanderWomen’s expert facilitator, Anna, we’ll walk in silence to appreciate the balance of light and dark at this seasonal turning point, allowing time for mindful pauses and breathwork.
BEACH GATHERING & FIRESIDE REFLECTION
On the beach, we’ll create a fire, sharing warm drinks and seasonal rituals to honour the equinox’s themes of balance and growth. For those who feel called, an invigorating dip in the North Sea serves as a way to connect deeply with the natural world, embracing the energy of renewal.
DINNER
Back at the hotel, we’ll enjoy a relaxed, nourishing dinner together, celebrating our shared experience and fostering community as we welcome the fresh possibilities of the season.
Sunday 16th March
BREAKFAST
Begin the morning with a slow breakfast, allowing time to savour the moment and reflect on our intentions for the new season.
GROUNDING WALK & FOREST BATHING
We’ll take a gentle walk to the private woodland of Gosford Estate, where Anna will lead you in forest bathing—a meditative practice to connect with the trees, soil, and the new buds emerging. The forest setting is ideal for grounding, journaling, and setting personal intentions aligned with the season’s energy of growth and balance.
CHECK-OUT
Enjoy a leisurely check-out at 1pm. Leave the retreat feeling inspired, balanced, and connected to the equinox’s energy, with a renewed sense of peace and purpose.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
