The 2025 Edinburgh FluteFling takes place over the weekend of 4th - 6th April, beginning with a Friday night concert with flute and whistle player and composer Hamish Napier accompanied by Jordan Neill on guitar, and others.
This year’s tutors are Hamish, Freya Rae [boehm-system] and we are especially pleased to welcome Kirsten Allstaff, returning to Scotland from Ireland for the weekend.
The three tutors will instruct on all facets of the playing of traditional and contemporary Scottish music on flute and whistle in a series of classes throughout Saturday. The concert and classes take place in The Heart Of Newhaven Community Centre, Newhaven.
Informal sessions will be held on Saturday evening and Sunday lunchtime/afternoon - venues to be finalised.
New addition to this year's programme : Sunday morning 2 hour class with Kirsten Allstaff. - venue : Heart Of Newhaven.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
