This is the perfect place to build confidence, improve fluency, and connect with fellow learners—all while having fun!
Our club is grounded in Krashen’s Input Hypothesis and Swain’s Output Hypothesis, focusing on a natural and enjoyable conversation. You’ll explore various topics, from daily life to social issues while learning new vocabulary, phrases, and grammar through real communication—just like how you learned your first language! There are no boring mechanical drills here.
- Talk at your own pace: no pressure, just friendly conversation
- Engaging topics: from casual chat to deeper discussions
- Mistakes are welcome: because that’s how we learn
We sometimes use original materials created by Hitomi, an author of 17 published Japanese textbooks. We will also use Nihongo Koredake 1 & 2 books, but all you really need to bring is your enthusiasm!
This club is open to learners of all levels—from beginners to advanced. As long as you can read some basic hiragana, you’re good to go! Join us and start speaking Japanese with confidence!
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
