We’re in the midst of a climate emergency, but also the biggest energy transition in human history. Every year the amount of renewable energy capacity coming on stream around the world sets new records, and grew by a staggering fifty per cent in 2023. But at the same time there’s been a surge in new oil and gas exploration, particularly from some of the world’s wealthiest countries. We’re at a critical moment, but how do we break the grip of Big Oil?
Come and hear Canadian environmental campaigner Tzeporah Berman - one of Time magazine’s 100 Most Influencial climate leaders 2024 and Founder of the Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty.
We’ll ask:
• How did the idea of a Fossil Fuel Treaty come about?
• How has the campaign grown over its first five years?
• How do we keep building momentum?
Bring your questions and join us for a conversation!
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
