Singapore is a melting pot of vibrant flavours from the country’s diverse cultural influences of Malay, Chinese, Indian and indigenous traditional backgrounds.
Although laced with lots of spices, Singaporean food is not necessarily always “spicy hot”. Rice and coconut (each in various forms) are essential in many dishes, as are coconut sugar, chilli, tamarind, and a range of spices and herbs – especially pandan, the aromatic, sweet herb used a lot in both savoury and sweet dishes.
On the night, Mrs M will be cooking up a range of delicious vegetarian dishes that showcase the flavours of Singapore. These include potato Curry Puffs, Tofu Rojak, Dalcha, Bergedels (potato patties), and Almond Agar-Agar with lychees and Suji cookies to finish!
Don't miss this rare opportunity to savour a sumptuous and flavoursome cuisine that's very under-represented in Scotland!
Please note: There will be allergens such as sesame, soy, and nuts contained in the dishes, and all foods will be cooked in an environment where other allergens such as wheat flour will be present. Please consider this when determining if this event is suitable for you.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
