Thursdays in May (1,8,15,22)
Spring is a perfect time to hone your fine-art skills, with the natural world re-emerging in all its beauty.
This workshop series is ideally suited to people looking to develop their drawing and painting skills further, learning a host of drawing, painting and mixed media techniques over the four week series, and taking away a number of beautiful art-works in the process.
Taken together these classes will provide an ideal opportunity to take a deeper dive into developing your drawing and painting skills, in a friendly and supportive small-group environment.
About your tutor:
Susan Mitchell is a nature-based illustrator of books, cards, and giftware. She loves to work with watercolour and painted paper collage. Following her degree in drawing and painting at Edinburgh College of Art she worked in Montreal as an illustrator of children's books. Since moving back to Scotland, Susan has developed her own range of greeting cards and notebooks which are stocked in independent gift shops across Scotland.
Along with working on her own projects, she loves to teach and runs various workshops and classes for adults and children in and around Edinburgh. For the last couple of years, she has been running Drink & Draw workshops where people get a chance to try out different materials and subjects in a relaxed and friendly environment. These new classes will provide an opportunity to take a deeper dive into developing drawing and painting skills.
